Compare on the same route, and check what the quoted monthly bill includes
GlasDraad carries internet for several independent providers, so the useful comparison is between offers on the same GlasDraad route, not between unrelated national headlines. Campaigns differ from one provider to the next, and not every area has the same provider list. Check whether a local network contribution sits inside the quoted monthly bill.

What GlasDraad is, how it relates to the providers that use it and what it means for your home connection.
GlasDraad is a fibre access network used by several of the independent providers in this comparison, including Freedom, Onvi and RapidXS. The most useful comparison is therefore between offers on the same GlasDraad route, not between unrelated national headlines. Their campaigns differ: the Onvi Zeeland offer has its own prices and RapidXS has a separate three-month introduction. Regional availability does not mean every address or every GlasDraad area has the same provider list. Check the household’s exact route and whether any local network contribution is included in the quoted monthly bill.
The physical network brings the connection into the building. Your retail provider supplies the subscription, router arrangements and customer service. On an open network you may be able to choose several providers, but their prices, available speeds and installation arrangements can differ on the same fibre. A network name on the connection box does not automatically identify the company that should bill you for internet.
What to check before relying on GlasDraad at a particular address, and what has to happen before the connection works.
Check postcode, house number and apartment suffix with the chosen provider. A network’s presence in the area does not confirm a finished connection inside this particular dwelling, the selected speed or an immediate activation date. If the result says pre-order, ask what construction and service steps remain. Fibre in the street, a completed connection inside the home and an activated subscription are different stages. Check whether the dwelling has its own fibre termination point and whether the provider can activate it. If construction or an appointment is still required, use the confirmed delivery date rather than the street’s rollout announcement when planning a move or cancelling an existing connection.

Check whether the dwelling has its own fibre termination point and whether the provider can activate it. If construction or an appointment is still required, use the confirmed delivery date rather than the street’s rollout announcement when planning a move or cancelling an existing connection. First establish whether the rented dwelling already has its own finished connection. New cabling through common areas, a building entry point or drilling may involve the landlord or owners’ association. An internet subscription does not itself confirm permission for building work. Give the provider the full address, including the apartment suffix, and confirm who will arrange access before scheduling installation.

No assumption should be made. The regional offer can refer to a different access network, campaign or contract. In particular, a TV promotion’s duration does not prove the internet term, and a discounted monthly amount without a stated duration cannot produce a reliable contract total. Use the network and terms returned for the full address.
Not necessarily. The ODF and former E-Fiber offers have four discounted internet months, while the staged Glasdraad offer has three. Optional router rental is separately free for three months and then €3 monthly. Calculate the line and equipment phases independently, and use the right territory’s regular price.

Download is used when receiving files or streams; upload is used for cloud backups, sending large files and your outgoing video during calls. A symmetric fibre tier advertises the same rate in both directions. Compare the two figures separately: a gigabit cable download does not imply a gigabit upload, and a higher headline download alone does not show how quickly a household can send data.

There is no single subscription price attached to this network. Providers can differ in contract, equipment, installation and active access operator. Compare an actual offer on this route; do not import a price from the same provider on another network or from a future rollout announcement.
