DSL versus KPN and DELTA fibre, activation, modem and relocation
Online.nl's internet-only tariff treats DSL, KPN fibre and DELTA fibre as different routes, so equal speeds don't carry equal prices. A loan modem is supplied, activation is charged separately and a technician is optional. A one-year initial term applies, and moving the connection can carry its own fee unless renewal conditions waive it.

What sets Online.nl apart, how its offers are put together and what renters should know before choosing it.
Online.nl’s internet-only tariff separates copper DSL from fibre and distinguishes KPN and DELTA fibre access. This is important because equal speeds do not have equal prices across those networks. The inspected tariff includes a loan modem, a separate activation charge and optional paid technician installation; a TV package is an add-on rather than a requirement for the internet-only comparison. Its published internet-only terms specify a one-year initial contract. If you expect to move, check the relocation charge and any renewal-based waiver rather than assuming that the subscription transfers for free.
The April 2026 tariff lists €30 activation and an optional technician at €79. The modem is loan equipment. Self-installation is available, so do not add the technician to every comparison as a compulsory fee. If additional work is needed inside the property, ask what the appointment covers rather than treating the standard visit as unlimited cabling work.

Moving the connection costs €30 unless the applicable renewal conditions waive the fee.
Check your postcode and house number: availability depends on the individual address.
Online.nl sells its plans over these networks. The network at your address can change the speed, the price and the installation of the same plan.

Online.nl’s fibre prices differ between KPN and DELTA access even for the same speed. Do not compare its low DSL entry directly with a fibre quotation as if technology were irrelevant. The €79 technician is optional, while activation and any future moving charge are separate tariff items. Adding television changes the package; it is not required to obtain the internet-only connection. The recorded offers differ by technology, speed, network and term. Examples: Internet 50 Mb/s (12 months): €38.00; Internet 100 Mb/s (12 months): €50.00; Internet 50 Mb/s (12 months): €48.00. These examples describe different selections, not benefits that can be stacked. Use the full price explanation of the variant you would actually order, including its later price and setup conditions.

Not unconditionally. The current tariff lists €30 for moving, with an exception when the applicable renewal arrangement waives it. Check whether the new home uses the same access network and whether its available tier changes. A move is a new availability check even if you keep the same provider; retain the written order or renewal confirmation showing any fee waiver.
Download is used when receiving files or streams; upload is used for cloud backups, sending large files and your outgoing video during calls. A symmetric fibre tier advertises the same rate in both directions. Compare the two figures separately: a gigabit cable download does not imply a gigabit upload, and a higher headline download alone does not show how quickly a household can send data.
Compare the minimum term first, then the cancellation notice, activation costs, installation timing and equipment return conditions. A low promotional month can be poor value if it requires a year or two of payments. A monthly option is only useful when the connection can actually be activated during your stay; ask for the start date and any one-off charges before ordering.
Not necessarily. The subscription controls capacity to the router; walls, distance, interference and the receiving device affect the wireless connection inside the home. Compare a wired speed test with a Wi-Fi test near the router before paying for a higher tier. A better router position, an Ethernet cable or correctly placed mesh points can address a different bottleneck from the internet subscription.
