Villages, rural rollout and what to do when your address doesn't appear
RE-NET Hoogeveen is a regional fibre route, not an internet plan, covering the Hoogeveen area including village and rural rollout. Its support guidance splits responsibility: active internet faults go to your retail provider, while an unconnected property or suspected cable damage follows the network route. New-build addresses may not be registered yet.

What RE-NET Hoogeveen is, how it relates to the providers that use it and what it means for your home connection.
RE-NET Hoogeveen is a regional fibre route with a separately identifiable retail choice, not the name of an internet plan. Freedom’s dedicated page describes the Hoogeveen area, including village and rural rollout, and the current table lists gigabit through Fiber Operator. RE-NET’s support guidance gives an important practical split: active internet faults go to the retail provider, while an unconnected property or suspected cable damage follows the network route. New-build addresses not yet registered can also be missing from provider ordering systems; a missing postcode result is not always the final answer about possible construction.
The physical network brings the connection into the building. Your retail provider supplies the subscription, router arrangements and customer service. On an open network you may be able to choose several providers, but their prices, available speeds and installation arrangements can differ on the same fibre. A network name on the connection box does not automatically identify the company that should bill you for internet.
What to check before relying on RE-NET Hoogeveen at a particular address, and what has to happen before the connection works.
Check postcode, house number and apartment suffix with the chosen provider. A network’s presence in the area does not confirm a finished connection inside this particular dwelling, the selected speed or an immediate activation date. If the result says pre-order, ask what construction and service steps remain. Fibre in the street, a completed connection inside the home and an activated subscription are different stages. Check whether the dwelling has its own fibre termination point and whether the provider can activate it. If construction or an appointment is still required, use the confirmed delivery date rather than the street’s rollout announcement when planning a move or cancelling an existing connection.

If construction or an appointment is still required, use the confirmed delivery date rather than the street’s rollout announcement when planning a move or cancelling an existing connection. First establish whether the rented dwelling already has its own finished connection. New cabling through common areas, a building entry point or drilling may involve the landlord or owners’ association. An internet subscription does not itself confirm permission for building work. Give the provider the full address, including the apartment suffix, and confirm who will arrange access before scheduling installation.

Common questions about RE-NET Hoogeveen, from coverage and installation to switching providers on the same connection.
If the internet service is already active, RE-NET directs you to the retail provider, which investigates and escalates network work where needed. For an unconnected property or suspected damage before service is active, contact the network’s service desk. Keep those routes distinct so a billing or router problem is not sent straight to a construction team.
Its FAQ explains that an address not yet in the Dutch BAG registration can be unorderable in provider systems. A connection request can then require the construction route and a quotation rather than repeatedly choosing a neighbouring address. Use the actual dwelling and suffix; a nearby working connection does not prove your own apartment is ready.

If construction or an appointment is still required, use the confirmed delivery date rather than the street’s rollout announcement when planning a move or cancelling an existing connection.
Download is used when receiving files or streams; upload is used for cloud backups, sending large files and your outgoing video during calls. A symmetric fibre tier advertises the same rate in both directions. Compare the two figures separately: a gigabit cable download does not imply a gigabit upload, and a higher headline download alone does not show how quickly a household can send data.

There is no single subscription price attached to this network. Providers can differ in contract, equipment, installation and active access operator. Compare an actual offer on this route; do not import a price from the same provider on another network or from a future rollout announcement.
