Odido's mobile network at home: Klik&Klaar, a 5G router and no wait for a new fibre line

It uses a 5G router, with up to 300/30 Mbps in the current tariff, a one-month minimum, €26 monthly subscription and €20 activation. Actual reception and network load affect performance. Fair-use and Netherlands-use conditions apply. Treat this as a home mobile-access offer, not as a symmetric fibre line or a travel data plan.

Test at the actual router location and at the times you will use it, not only a phone speed test outside. Indoor walls and network load can change results. Check download, upload and call stability, and compare Wi-Fi near the router with a wired connection where possible. A national 5G coverage indication does not prove the advertised peak speed indoors.

Compare the minimum term first, then the cancellation notice, activation costs, installation timing and equipment return conditions. A low promotional month can be poor value if it requires a year or two of payments. A monthly option is only useful when the connection can actually be activated during your stay; ask for the start date and any one-off charges before ordering.

Not necessarily. The subscription controls capacity to the router; walls, distance, interference and the receiving device affect the wireless connection inside the home. Compare a wired speed test with a Wi-Fi test near the router before paying for a higher tier. A better router position, an Ethernet cable or correctly placed mesh points can address a different bottleneck from the internet subscription.

The current tariff describes a loan router rather than a compulsory purchase. Keep the return conditions in mind when comparing a short stay. Extra Wi-Fi coverage is separate: Wi-Fi Plus points are listed at €2.50 monthly per point. More indoor coverage does not remove reception or congestion limits on the mobile connection itself.

Download is used when receiving files or streams; upload is used for cloud backups, sending large files and your outgoing video during calls. A symmetric fibre tier advertises the same rate in both directions. Compare the two figures separately: a gigabit cable download does not imply a gigabit upload, and a higher headline download alone does not show how quickly a household can send data.
