This room is located within the Tuindorp-West Complex (TWC), a large student housing community in Utrecht that is home to more than 1200 students. Built in the 1970s, the complex consists of eight high-rise buildings spread across four streets: Van Lieflandlaan, Gisbert Bromlaan, Frits Coerslaan, and Willem Schuylenburglaan. The area offers a wide range of communal facilities, including a community garden, basketball and volleyball courts, bicycle storage areas, outdoor seating with benches, and garden tables. An active resident association organizes weekly social gatherings on the premises.
The room itself measures 14 m² and is situated on the 17th floor of the building. It is part of a shared apartment with nine other housemates. The accommodation is characterized as basic and traditional, reflecting the building's 1970s origin, while still offering affordable housing for students. Internet via WiFi is included as part of the service charges, along with electricity, water, heating, and cleaning of the common areas. Bicycle storage is available both inside and outside each building, and CCTV surveillance is present throughout the complex.
The location provides convenient access to public transport and educational institutions. Utrecht Overvecht train station is within walking distance, the city center can be reached by bicycle in approximately ten minutes, and the Utrecht Science Park is less than twenty minutes by bike. Parking is available nearby through a municipal permit system, with paid parking in effect from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 21:00. The building does not have an elevator.
Important to note is that the high-rise flats within the TWC are scheduled for renovation between November 2024 and the autumn of 2027. The renovation of the specific flat containing this room is planned for the autumn of 2026. Residents can remain in their room until the renovation work begins, after which they will relocate together with their housemates to a renovated flat within the same complex. A campus contract with an approval clause is required, meaning only students or PhD candidates are eligible to rent, and proof of enrollment must be provided. Smoking and pets are not permitted in the accommodation.

Does the displayed rent include utilities and service costs?
Not necessarily. Luntero shows the price and cost details supplied by the listing source, but inclusions vary by property. Check the full cost breakdown on the original source before applying, including service costs, gas, electricity, water, internet, parking, and any one-off fees.
Which documents will I need to apply?
Requirements are set by the landlord or listing provider, not Luntero. The original listing or application form should give the definitive checklist. It may include identification, proof of income or employment, student documents, or guarantor information, but do not send sensitive documents until you have checked who is requesting them and why.
Can Luntero tell me the status of my application?
No. Applications are completed with the original listing provider, so Luntero cannot see whether your application was received, shortlisted, rejected, or invited for a viewing. Contact the provider through the details in your application confirmation or on the original listing page.
Can Luntero arrange a viewing or contact the owner for me?
No. Luntero does not own or manage the property and does not have a private contact channel to its owner. Use the original source button on the listing page to view the provider's application and contact options. If public owner or agency contact details are available, they are shown on the listing page.
Why do details sometimes differ from the original listing?
A provider may update or remove a listing after Luntero last collected it. The original source is the final reference for availability, price, conditions, and application instructions. If the pages disagree, rely on the source and report the Luntero listing so it can be reviewed.
Where do I find the original listing and application page?
Open the Luntero listing and look for the 'View listing' source buttons. They identify the platform the listing came from and open its original page in a new tab. Apply there; Luntero does not accept rental applications.
How do I report an unavailable, incorrect, duplicate, or suspicious listing?
Open the listing and select 'Report an issue'. Choose the closest reason and add any useful details. Reports help Luntero review its copy of the listing; for an urgent issue involving the application itself, also contact the original platform.
