This property is a historic marl (mergel) house located in the centre of Valkenburg aan de Geul and forms part of the former watermill complex "De Oude Molen" (Molen van Schyns). The building dates from 1860 and was restored between 2004 and 2006 with attention to preserving its monumental character. The house combines original architectural elements with modern fittings and is situated adjacent to the Geul river in the town's historic core. The complex includes other uses such as a museum and a mill shop with a lunchroom.
