Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
The Flow is a new residential project located at the former office building Damsigt on Nieuwe Havenstraat in Leidschendam-Voorburg. This development comprises six residential buildings, with a total of 295 rental apartments ranging from 47 m² to 127 m², featuring between 1 to 4 rooms. The project aims to play a significant role in the redevelopment of the Klein Plaspoelpolder into a vibrant residential neighborhood, providing a total living space of approximately 28,900 m². The buildings will consist of a maximum of five floors and will offer a mix of housing in various rental categories, with the realization taking place in three phases.
Phase 1, which is set to begin rental on June 24, includes 6 social rental homes, 11 mid-rental homes, and 68 free sector rental homes. The six residential buildings are organically connected through elevated inner gardens and green passageways, creating a harmonious transition between private and public spaces, allowing for opportunities for meeting, relaxation, and nature. The architecture emphasizes light and space through open facades and communal rooftop gardens.
The Flow is designed with sustainability in mind. The buildings will be equipped with energy-efficient installations, green roofs, and sustainable materials, resulting in a future-proof and comfortable living environment that considers climate and biodiversity. Each apartment will be delivered with a fully equipped kitchen featuring built-in appliances and a fully tiled bathroom. Tenants will need to provide their own flooring, wall finishes, and window coverings, allowing them the freedom to design the interior to their taste.
Located at Nieuwe Havenstraat in Voorburg, The Flow combines the tranquility of a green residential area with the proximity to the city. The Voorburg train station and RandstadRail stop Voorburg 't Loo are within walking distance, offering direct connections to The Hague, Gouda, and Utrecht, while Metro E provides a direct link between The Hague and Rotterdam. The A12, A4, and N14 are easily accessible by car, and the area is close to shopping facilities, schools, restaurants, and nature. Phase 1 rental is expected to commence in June 2025, and for inquiries regarding the offerings or rental process, interested parties can contact the rental agent Uppmärk.
