Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
Welcome to DeBuurt, a unique living concept located on Brailledreef in Utrecht, designed specifically for seniors aged 55 and above. This complex features modern rental apartments spread across three buildings, catering to a diverse range of residents, from starters to seniors, with or without care needs. Living here means enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of a community where neighbors connect, creating a true sense of belonging.
The apartments are equipped with luxurious Bribus kitchens that include white cabinetry and stylish composite countertops in anthracite or black. Each kitchen comes with high-quality ATAG built-in appliances, including an induction cooktop, combi oven, dishwasher, extractor hood, and either a fridge-freezer combination or a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, depending on the apartment type. The kitchen layout varies by apartment and can be viewed on the floor plans.
The bathrooms are fully finished for comfort, featuring white wall tiles and dark floor tiles. Amenities include a walk-in shower or shower with folding doors, a sink with a mirror, and usually a separate toilet. In some apartments, the second toilet is located within the bathroom. The bathroom layouts also vary by unit.
DeBuurt is forward-thinking in terms of comfort and sustainability. Each apartment is equipped with underfloor heating connected to an energy-efficient WKO system. A heat recovery installation ensures efficient ventilation. Solar panels on the roofs generate electricity for common facilities or directly for the connected apartments, contributing to lower energy bills and a positive environmental impact. Parking is available for residents of Building B in Building A, while Building C has its own parking garage accessible via entry and exit gates with barriers. Visitors can enter the garage through a separate entrance with an intercom.
A distinctive feature of DeBuurt is the lively meeting place being developed in the central building, where creative and cultural entrepreneurs will have space to work. This area will serve as a gathering point for neighborhood residents and Utrecht locals to come together for arts, culture, and dining, with approximately 2,400 m² dedicated to social activities.
Living in DeBuurt means choosing quality, sustainability, and a strong community. It’s a place where residents can enjoy comfortable living while being part of something larger.
