Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
The rental of the apartments in phase 2 has begun, with registration available via the project website until June 29 at 12:00 PM. De Karner is a four-story apartment complex consisting of a total of 15 apartments. On the ground floor, there is a bright and comfortable three-room corner apartment. Thanks to its dual orientation, the living room is bathed in natural daylight throughout the day. The sunny private outdoor space facing south completes this picture, providing a lovely spot to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, or unwind in the evening sun.
The Boterfabriek dates back to 1881 and is one of the oldest factories in Nijmegen. It is currently undergoing a complete revitalization while preserving its cultural and historical value, complemented by contemporary new construction. The result is a vibrant living environment with a sustainable future. The Boterfabriek will become a distinctive part of Nijmegen, featuring 25 unique apartments, some with a ceiling height of up to 4 meters! In the five new residential buildings, there will be 9 homes and 80 apartments, offering a diverse range of layouts, from lofts and studios to 2- and 3-room apartments, as well as unique 4- and 5-room maisonettes and special city homes. The Boterfabriek will be gas-free and climate-resilient.
The communal area will serve as a space for residents and neighbors to organize activities or simply enjoy a cup of coffee together. Parking is available in the underground parking garage. Between the residential buildings, there will be shared inner gardens that provide an oasis of tranquility. Additional trees and plants will contribute to biodiversity, making the greenery a true connector and the ideal place for outdoor living.
Living in a green environment adjacent to the historic city center of Nijmegen is what you can expect at the Boterfabriek!
