Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
This corner family house is located on Pal Maleterweg in the Zuiderpolder neighborhood of Haarlem. It is a partially furnished 6-room property with a living area of approximately 142 m² and was built in 1989. Both the main bathroom and the rear garden were modernized in 2024. The property features high ceilings, a variety of living spaces spread over two main floors plus an attic, and has been described as well maintained.
The ground floor opens from a small front garden into an entrance hall with a meter cupboard and a separate toilet with a basin. The living room benefits from high ceilings, garden views and tiled floors with partial underfloor heating. At the front of the house there is a fitted kitchen equipped with an induction hob, a dishwasher and a new fridge-freezer, and several Bosch built-in appliances; the kitchen layout may accommodate a small dining area.
On the first floor two bedrooms are located at the front; one of these rooms contains a built-in washing machine and has access to an attic space. A few steps up from the landing leads to a fully renewed (2024) bathroom that includes a vanity unit, a walk-in shower and a toilet. A third generously sized bedroom on this level has access to a small balcony. The second floor contains two further bedrooms and a second bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and washbasin; this bathroom is finished with marble wall panels.
Outside, the rear garden faces southeast, has been modernized for low maintenance and includes a freestanding wooden storage shed and rear access. A roof terrace of approximately 20 m² is located on the second floor adjacent to the front bedroom. Local amenities include proximity to Reinaldapark and the Spaarnwoude recreation area, public transport and Haarlem-Spaarnwoude station (about 14 minutes to Amsterdam by train), primary school Camelot, shops and sports facilities. The centre of Haarlem and the beaches at Zandvoort and Bloemendaal are within easy cycling distance, and on-street parking is generally available.
The rental amount is €2,599 per month excluding utilities. The property is offered with a security deposit equal to two months’ rent (€5,198) and is available immediately. It is offered partly furnished, house shares are not permitted and pets are not allowed. The rental is subject to availability, tenant screening, a credit check and owner approval. Energy label: B.
