Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
This furnished room for rent is located in a quiet area of central Enschede, making it an ideal choice for a working expat, PhD candidate, or master's student. The studio is approximately 30m², with a separate bedroom of about 10m², and is available for a temporary stay from either July 1st or July 15th until December 15th, 2025. The rental is not extendable, making it perfect for those seeking short-term accommodation.
The private space includes a luxurious electric adjustable double bed (1.80 m wide), a sofa/daybed (1.20 x 2.00 m), and a desk equipped with two monitors suitable for both sitting and standing work. Additionally, there is a modular dining table that can accommodate up to six people, ample storage space, and a private kitchenette with a dining area. The room also features a lockable private entrance, a section of the garden, and a veranda, providing beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset.
Shared facilities include a bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, and access to a washing machine and dryer. There is also a shared living room, which has limited use, and a shared garden where you can park your bicycle. The property is situated inside the city ring of Enschede, very central and within walking distance of the city center, close to the Alphatoren.
Currently, the house is shared by two individuals: a 53-year-old working man and a master's student who will be traveling until around Christmas. During your stay, you will be sharing the house with just one person. The landlord is looking for a quiet and responsible tenant who follows a regular day-night rhythm, ideally going to bed around 10–11 PM and waking up between 5–6 AM. This accommodation is suitable for one person only, and pets are not allowed. Interested individuals are encouraged to reach out with some information about themselves.
