Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
A spacious uncarpeted room will be available for rent starting April 14, 2025, on César Franckstraat in Delft. The room measures approximately 17 m² and is part of a shared living arrangement with two other male roommates, Blaise, 25, and Han, 23, both of whom are pursuing their master's degrees in Architecture. The preference is for a master's student to join the household, as they enjoy occasional shared meals and movie nights together.
The location offers convenient access to various amenities. Within 10-15 minutes by bike, residents can reach the train station, the campus, or the city center. The house features a communal living room equipped with a bar, a spacious balcony that enjoys evening sun, a kitchen with a dishwasher, a bathroom with a washing machine, a toilet, and a large storage area/bike shed.
Please note that the house is set to be discontinued in the near future, so only temporary contracts will be issued until December 30, 2025, making this an ideal arrangement for a period of approximately 3-4 years. The total monthly rent is around €500, which includes utilities, with a breakdown of €435 for rent, €44 for gas/water/electricity, €16 for internet, and €6.16 for the dishwasher.
If you are interested in living in this house, please send a message with some information about yourself and a photo. A viewing event is likely to take place on April 7, 2025, for prospective tenants to meet the current residents and see the room.
