Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
For rent: six beautiful new apartments located at Graafseweg 250 in Nijmegen, available from May 1, 2025. These turn-key apartments will be open for viewing on Friday, April 11, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This is an open house event, so no appointment is necessary. During this time, potential tenants can tour the apartments, and a real estate agent will be available to answer any questions. Interested individuals will be asked to fill out a form indicating which apartment(s) they are interested in, as well as the required documents needed for consideration.
Please note that these apartments cannot be rented by house sharers. The rental price for the apartments on the first floor is €1,475 per month, excluding energy costs and TV/internet fees. For apartments on the second and third floors, the rental price is €1,500 per month, also excluding energy costs and TV/internet fees. A service charge of €60 per month applies to all apartments. These units feature optimal insulation and are gas-free, equipped with underfloor heating, solar panels, and a heat pump.
Residents will benefit from a communal bicycle storage area, private storage, and a designated parking space. The building includes an elevator and is situated in a pleasant and central residential location, close to supermarkets, the city center, and the NS Station. It is also conveniently located near schools, the university, main roads, hospitals, and various public amenities.
The modern kitchens are equipped with a mixer tap, combi microwave, induction cooktop, stainless steel extractor hood, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and dishwasher. The apartments will feature a stylish PVC floor, and the contemporary bathrooms include a hanging toilet, design radiator, bathtub, sink, and walk-in shower. Additionally, there is an initiative called Butterfly Effect, which allows residents to contribute meaningfully to the community and offers a volunteer compensation of €150 per month for those interested.
The apartments were built in 2024/2025, with a net living area of approximately 72 m² and a balcony of around 5 m². The layout includes an entrance hall with a meter cupboard, a complete bathroom, a separate toilet with a sink, an indoor storage area with connections for washing machines, two bedrooms (one with access to the balcony), and a spacious living room with plenty of natural light and an open L-shaped kitchen.
The rental period is indefinite, with a minimum lease of one year. Acceptance is set for May 1, 2025. Please be aware that there is an income requirement for renting these units, with a gross monthly income of at least 3.5 times the monthly rent. For couples, 75% of the second income may be considered. A security deposit equal to one month's rent is also required.
